To fit this to a bike
To get that bar-rack on a bike, you'll need a stem with a detachable face plate, for example https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/stems/oxford-atb-1-inch-quill-stem-254mm-clamp-silver-75mm/ or an adapter + AHead stem if you want more choices on extension and rise

Just to revisit this - my local bike shop were happy to do the reaming. They were pretty sure that the frame was originally 27.2 and that the top tube had been slightly ovalised over time. Seat tube is now back to the original spec so a dropper post going in this weekend.
Face of the BB no longer looks like it has been attacked by a gorilla with a less than subtle understanding of the concept of torque.
LBS FTW.
Thanks again for the help.

Take the paint off that brake bridge and I guess there will be a filled in hole, hopefully something soft and not brass!

It would be lovely if it was Bondo®, brazing would be a good second, weld infill would be worse than there having been no hole there at all.

That Ducatti bar stem could be perfect for a project of mine! Thanks!

Was thinking of adding the rack to a bobbin shopper
Think it is going to be difficult to get a quill stem that long to fit. Just like the style and would suit the mini veloesque look I am going for for the shopper. -

Be aware that the set up is for a balance bike.
I was thinking of sticking it on a bike and turning up at a ducati bike night at the ace cafe.

Am cutting up a gas pipe raliegh frame and can send you the brake bridge as a drill guide to tape attach above.

I'm putting it on a lo-pro ;)

thanks for the offer, but I live in Switzerland, so probably a bit complicated :) (also I'm quite sure there's a trashed frame somewhere around here)

Does anyone have a recommended Shimano road bleed kit?

Thank you, that has given me ideas.
Thank you all.

What crank bolts do I need for UN300 bottom bracket? Also, what about self extracting bolts or should I stick to bolt and dust cap? I'm fitting Shimano 600 tricolor cranks (6400)

Any generic M8 crank bolt or any M8 hardware store bolt plus the thickest washers they have. Cycle specific ones will take an 8mm Allen key which is a slight advantage, but hex head are fine too. Self extractors are not necessarily a great idea, it's not like you're pulling cranks in the field.

thieves definitely prefer self extracting

Awesome, thanks!

Thinking of buying some Ritchey Comp Venturemax Handlebars for my gravel bike. I can see that sizes available are 400mm, 420mm, 440mm etc up to 520mm but where are they measuring that to and from i.e. the flat section on the top only or is that the width of the swept back drops?
EDIT: so are they measuring using A or B?

Scroll down to the "Tech Drawing" Section.

Nice one, cheers; that pretty much covers it. Now I just need to go and measure the existing bars on my Diverge

Opposite problem...
I've just reinstalled my Quarq cranks on the Mason with the same BB and there's a little bit of movement side to side in the setup.
So far as I know there was only one splined bearing cover/washer/spacer thing that fits to the NDS and nothing else. Could it be just be the BB is a bit tired or have I dropped a part?
-
• #4573
Just fit another spacer or two
-
• #4574
Well, am wondering if there are any flavours of ‘swept’ bars that would accommodate brake levers that you’d ordinarily associate with drops?

It makes me wonder if the two thin clear spacers were off the Quarq or the P2M...
Yeah, but we can fix that 😀 #spam
