If no-one else is getting involved, I'd like it please.
I can arrange a repair and refinish it too. -

Hey, there's a lot of interest on this and I don't NEED it... I was just going to repair and paint it for the practice.
I'm relinquishing dibs in order that someone with a more pressing need might be able to get a nice bike on the road.
Get in my DMs if you want it professionally painted.

Can we get a current project thread if this gets restored by whoever collected it pretty please?
-

I ended up collecting this! Thanks so much @spicknspangled and also @general_greyharbour for giving up your spot. I’m thinking to get it repaired at Varonha, but at least for now I won’t get it repainted. As I’ll be cycling it daily in ldn, it looking a little worse for wear suits me quite well - sorry if that’s disappointing :)

No sweat.
Obviously we all wanna see it get a sparkle/flake/flip/fade job but that's not always practical/cost effective.
If you wanna protect your investment, look to get it at least sealed in a colour.
If you want to consider it, get in my DMs... one colour and a £15 aftermarket decal kit will make it a Samson again and protect it from the elements which can prevent this sort of frame failure issue in the future.

protect it from the elements
Please do this - it's definitely worth it for a frame like that

Double rep! This is really generous of you!

Nearly all the samson frame that ive heard of that were stripped, were completely chromed and the chainstay left unpainted, interested if it true of this one? Doesn't look like it.

Any news?
How's the repair going
There's a catch, there's always a catch, it's cracked around the head tube lug.
It's been ridden for a fair few months as is so it could be rideable, but when it goes it's not gonna be fun. Otherwise it'll need the head tube replacing/a shit ton of weld sprayed all over if you want to reinforce it.
Free to anyone who wants a project/needs a section of tall bike/wants some njs goodness on the wall.
55cm square
Collect around Hackney wick area
