This part you are not correct. You don't need a brake light, you can have a bike without any lights at all, like my trials biek, which has "no lights fitted at time of test".

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I was saying they will test a bike if it does or doesn't have lights but there is no such thing as a daytime MOT.
