  • My small child has managed to snap the footrest on her pram. I've emailed the company but it is a discontinued model so I don't have much hope of being able to get a replacement from them.

Any suggestions on what I could use to replace it? A lump of rubber seems the obvious but no idea what type or where to get it from. Otherwise thinking seatbelt material but not sure the best way to secure that without it pulling through (it's secured by a screw through it). Any thoughts?

  • Seatbelt material / polypropylene webbing with a washer under the screw head will prevent it getting pulled through. Maybe double the webbing up as well

  • Do you still have all the snapped pieces? If so, it’s highly likely to be made of polypropylene plastic, which responds very well to being glued with cyanoacrylate with accelerant.

Look for a moulded mark indicating material, something like ‘>PP<‘ for polypropylene.
