Arrived at home on Friday to a smell of blue cheese. I thought, my partner has cooked something with blue cheese.
There was no blue cheese in the dinner, which pushed us to investigate.
It's the kitchen. It's not this cupboard, not this one, not the thrash, not the fridge.
We singled it down to a spot in the kitchen where no food is stored.
It really reeks. Like decaying flesh. I have flashbacks of several homeless people I encountered in public transport with a filthy bloody rag on some limb or the other which smells exactly the same.
The smell is really persistent, it stays in the nose for hours.. Blue. Cheese.
I remember the cute little mousey that I saw a couple of weeks ago in the courtyard. We live on the ground floor, brick vault floor with wooden beams and floor boards with quite some nice cavities for say a mouse to crawl in and... DIE.Apparently our options are opening up the floor or wait it out for two weeks.
I hope the temperatures speed up the decaying process...
“Beyond 2yrs the plastic tat starts to build and before you know it the floor is 75% lego, there are rotting forgotten snacks under the bed, you have given them wardrobes they won't use and the walls are covered in stickers and blue-tacked magazine posters.”
Some serious detritus from behind radiators and pipe boxing from small people, including some ‘matter’ that was neither solid nor liquid but obviously of some age, no idea if it was a vegetable stew that didn’t get eaten or vomit.
