Going to be another exciting day. Forecast crap for tomorrow, so presumably bazball biffing before all getting out or putting Aus in during the evening session.
I did not know this about the funky field placings - Stokes will be bowling underarm next:
So England went with the U9s umbrella field, the kind of field that was banned a couple of years back by the Surrey county age groups, with an insistence teams must have proper fielders so the game looks proper.

I'm all for giving the aussies a spray cos they're pretty cunty, but Usman is by far the nicest guy in the team.
Would much rather it be directed at Smith and Warner. -

Work yourself in, Joe!
-
• #13855
He's not listening!
-
• #13856
14 off 4 balls!
-
• #13857
Amazing from Rooty
-
• #13858
Here we go. Strap in.
-
• #13859
Absolute ripper from Cummins that.
-
• #13860
Ah. Given it away, Joe.
-
• #13861
We really need Stokes to bat for an hour or two.
-
• #13862
I fear that's about as likely as me growing my hair back.
-
• #13863
ffs England just get to lunch please, settle the nerves
-
• #13864
Got away with one, there.
-
• #13865
cheering dot balls now
-
• #13866
set decent chase circa 320 runs, less unorthodox batting please. plenty of time to do that before close of play today
-
• #13867
If there's a horror weather forecast, may be likely they're just throwing runs at the board to have something for the bowlers to tilt at.
-
• #13868
The forecast is for rain, but I think I'd rather they played the match situation than the potential weather situation.

• #13869
cheering dot balls now
In the rest of the Lyon over after the LBW review?
They weren't cheering the dot balls, they were appealing as a way of taking the piss out of Lyon.
-
• #13870
Well Stokes isn't hanging about
-
• #13871
I'm also desperate for this amazing spectacle to peter out into a dull draw.
-
• #13872
Fuck. That swings momentum massively
-
• #13873
Bairstow dismissal is huge..
-
• #13874
Yep. Time for Stokes to stand up with the bat. Can't remember the last time he's been in quite this situation - most of his recent failures have been while another recognised batsman has been with him...but in the past he's flourished when he's the last hope.

oh crap. perhaps I can edit the post above to undo the mockers while this review is on.
just to rub salt in the wound, the overs bowled between the rain stopped us getting even a partial refund on our tickets. I mean, I wanted to watch cricket but I didn't wanna watch that cricket
