  • YEEESSS ED, this is great news

but also ... WHAT THE FUCK??

  • Not yet, I got that rack cause it’s perfect for dry bag to strap on it, like the Trek 1120.

Not nerve pinching, just the hood might be a bit too skinny.

  • WHAT THE FUCK??

I’m more pissed than happy, cause it nearly a year of not riding not realising that particular shape of the levers cause weird pain, Scherrit couldn’t figure it out as I did not have body weight on it, despite fitting 100% perfectly on it.

Even brought an SMP Nymber to try out (the Nymber is excellent)

  • Happy for you :)
I look forward to seeing the ISEN built up again, if you decide to do that. Although, the Fairlight does look well nice..

  • Least we got a (abet tiny) garden and cat now.

    Cat looks fucking massive tbh.

  • I’m on two fence, Fairlight is super nice, it feel like a custom frameset and a mite lighter, ISEN fit perfectly abet little limiting as I decked out the Fairlight with Allygn and Tumbleweed rack, with an Anything cages on the fork, that option end up making the Fairlight feel more agile compare to the 900g Pass and Stow rack of the ISEN despite being designed to run with it.

I’m gonna wait until I learn about the new Shimano CUES and what road hydraulic option for it.

  • Like, we're the sram hoods the issue? Need something a bit fatter?

  • 100%.

The Checkpoint was incredibly comfortable, owned to the fact it’s carbon, 8.5kg, isospeed, etc. and suddenly it felt exactly like the ISEN/Fairlight when I put the SRAM Red shifters and brakes on it.

    It’s so fugging stupid.

  • Glad you've managed to figure it out! It's wild that something so seemingly minor can make such a huge difference. I'm sure it was an expensive way to find out what the problem was but it's a pretty nice position to be in to have the choice between an Isen and a Fairlight!
