I was out the following day and as often as possible since. It was unbearable the first 10 days not just the shock/anxiety but the muscular aches were quite bad.
Aches have subsided enough that I can be confident I have some strength for at least errands.
Can see how many people would struggle to ride again after. I refuse to be beaten, but it certainly took a toll.

As a London rider, was it ever pleasurable? I'm not sure it was.
Feel free to chat about the anxiety stuff here, as we understand your situation. Took me a month or two to get back on the bike after being rear ended. Was afraid of it happening again.
