Nearest equivalent was 13 years ago when a taxi driver decided to see how far I could fly. ( I have a lump in my left humerus from the break, and never saw a payout.)
Took at least 6 months before I stopped flinching whenever a car drove past, and probably a year before I was more 'normal'. That was a bigger trauma for sure, but I will expect a similar timescale.
City riding was never pleasurable for me, but it was tolerable. Now though, it’s quite intolerable. Ah well. It will subside, or it won’t, but it is what it is.
