  • I would be up for these to replace some very basic wheels on an old 26er that deserves much better (a Marin Mount Vision Pro from 2006). But it's got a fork with a 15mm axle. Does the Specialized front hub look like it can be converted? Or given it is already 20mm and I want use a 15mm axle then maybe this is all I need - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125283498631 - but not used one before and it doesn't seem as neat as converting the hub itself.

If this does work I'd have to take you up on postage if that is OK... would not need tyres which might help get them in a box... and wouldn't need the cassette either. But if one of the rotors was 160mm then that would be useful.

  • Hey man, tbf it looks like this hub can only be 20mm? Tried taking it apart but it seems stuck solid in there. Not much info online about them

I do have a set of hope hubs laced to some dt swiss rims? Its qr on the front atm but hopes are very easy to convert. Youre looking at about 15-20 for the adapter. Wheelset is for sale atm for £80 inc rotors. Got tires and a spare tube i can chuck in?

  • Thanks for checking - I'll read up about that ebay part and see if they are considered a good idea. I saw your other ones and was really tempted, a good price and I have some spare Hope adapters already for the 15mm axle, but was just a bit reluctant because of the 3-arm disk and getting a new one when it wears out. But then it takes years for me to get through a rotor - still got some from 2012 on the summer wheels of my usual bike.

  • @sifriday thats what i though but its not really a headache getting em. I've actually emailed them few weeks back and they have them, wanted to see if they are available still. You just need to order some from an authorised hope dealer.

If interested drop me a pm, the rotors that are fitted are straight and still got plenty of life left in them
