New tradition for Hulsroy bikes is for them to have wheels initially built with black spokes and then rebuilt with silver.

looking forward to building the bike up for it to look like one of those ebay listings titled:

"26'' MTB HOPE/RACEFACE/CHRIS KING/STANS/STEEL"

that you click on and go "heh, i used to have one of those"

as opposed to one of those ebay listings titled:

"26'' MTB HOPE/RACEFACE/CHRIS KING/STANS/STEEL"

which make you say "must be joking, might get somewhere near that if they parted it out"

rim stickers are the least of my problems, they have black spokes

Not if @BareNecessities keeps hounding you about the rim stickers. Learn from my experience and just de-sticker the rims. It will be much safer for everyone.

we’re doing good. there’s nothing cheugy about silver spokes on a black rim. tryhard without much aesthetic gain. it’s all about the rental enduro vs. blue lug juxtaposition, sleeper wanker energy.

the next challenge is aluminum bars over steel ones. and eventually, light fast-rolling tyres.

Why stop at alu? 🤔
