I'm going full squish. The Chisel has done me well, but I want to do more XCM and the hardtail was hard work for that.
Specialized don't do a non-Sworks Epic Evo frame.
So I just bought the base model and am swapping my random collection of parts from the Chisel, which goes back up for sale.
So far, I have:
Taken off all the parts of the Epic Evo, except the Saddle and Stem
Stashed the stock parts in a box
Then, on the Chisel, I have:
Removed blue Sid, wheels, cranks, bars, dropper
Re-fitted the stock parts for those
Fitted new BB
Swapped old tyres on to the stock wheels, refreshed sealant
Fitted new shift cable outer and inner, dialed in brakes and shifting
Fitted some flat pedals
Gave a clean and a short test ride
Then I have:
Taken the blue fork for a service at LBS
Serviced my OneUp Dropper
Fitted Fork, Stem, Bars, Seatpost
Prepared new Levers and ispec shifter and dropper lever
