Any negative opinions on wtb kom i25s for MTB wheels? Contemplating getting them, they're a bit wider then the 21c inner Mavic xc621 I have.
Or should I go to i29s? It's for 2.25"-2.35" tyres -

umbrella chat = likely going with "NASA" (purely because they're based in the south west like me - keep it local innit). Spoke to a few and they all seem to turn 6.5k into 3.5k. Presumably if I end up overpaying tax for the year as a result of this I could recoup it next April?

Yes, it's just PAYE salary by the time it reaches you

Thanks. Well I'll give it a whirl and if nothing else it'll pay off my credit card.
Appreciate input from you all.

Yeah it’s a good city hybrid. She probably won’t win many road or mtb races on it, but with basic care it could last many years.

We’ve recently bought a Hilka multi-purpose siphon kit from Screwfix, mainly to transfer dirty bath water to a water butt in the garden to water plants with. For £10 it’s great. Might be worth a look for what you need?

Is there anything wrong with this logic?:
Fill hose from tap, plug either end, insert ends in 'to be drained' and target area, unplug ends?

Looking at cantis for building up Brother All Day frame.
Was initially looking at Dia compe dc980, is it worth upgrading to the 999s? Any others I'm missing? Would like them to be silver and not look shit (looking at you Shimano cx-50)

Liz has the regular one and it’s pretty decent. The standard tyres are a bit shit, but everything works just fine. I’ve stolen it a few times to pop into the city and no one died.
Turns out that not an X, but the ‘normal’ one. It’s my sister that has the X. She sold her diverge to get it and much prefers it.

Cheers, I had a look, but I already have a 3/4" hose ( bigger better for siphon I believe) and that one uses a smaller hose. Thinking of having a punt on the lomo bilge pump to prime the hose then detach while submerged might work.

Not silver but black, the Avid Shorty Ultimates on my Pompino are easily as good as the Ultegra dual pivots on my Ti road bike.

Too rich for me sadly!

BTW RHS recommend using grey water within 24hrs, do you have any concerns about bacteria breeding in the butt? I was looking in to this too recently and might be tempted to fit a diverter valve on the bath waste eventually (once I've grown something to water) so it would go directly on to the plants via some sort of irrigation pipe.

The deal is off, no cantis.

You must recant.

Slight derail but that's a handsome ride with a post-apocalytpic mien to it.

Probably involves quite a bit of running up and down stairs, possibly in the buff.

To which biek shop should I drag my arse to try a decent selection of road shoes? I think the last time I went to Sigma Sports in the arse end of Kingston but don’t live anywhere near there. Central London or Herts please.

Condor.

We’re using it within 24 hours. Other half is an RHS member and told me this.

But the siphon lets them use dirty bath water instead of fresh water from the tap?
-
• #117475
Tap water just to fill the hose, 1l or thereabouts.
Anyone with any first hand experience of these?
Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 Step Through
They fit the bill for my partner in terms of what she wants and would use it for, and for the price seem to be a fairly decent bike.
