  • Met up with an old friend who now brews for Siren. Got a free case of beer as a treat. First one out of the box is a banger, right up my alley.

  • Sorry, didn't see this, you didn't @ me.

I got rid of most of them already. I'm keeping the Tim Taylor and Carlton ones for old time's sake. :)

  • How much were they? Those boxes have been in my local offie forever. I presume they release the same box each year.

  • Is this not true of everywhere in Belgium though and France and England and...

  • But not Australia?

  • Not a chance with Aussie beer. Iced coffee and cherry ripes though...

  • Right drunkards... where's the best place to order Belgian beer these days?

Yes, I should've bought some when I was LITERALLY THERE on fucking Monday but I didn't and now I can't find the bottles I saw online so feel a bit silly. Anyway, I want to send some beers to someone but haven't done that for a LONG time.

  • Both good, but the white tips is especially excellent

  • I think about £12-£13

  • Best beer I've had recently not by Pressure Drop or Gravity Well

  • Any recommendation for a monthly subscription box, something with a bit of a variety rather than just a dozen IPAs (although preferably a minimal amount of sours)? Cheers

  • Depending on where you're based, one of your local bottle shops would kill for the regular income. In London off the top of my head Ghost Whale, Clapton Craft, Craft Metropolis, etc.

  • Agreed. Would add Hop, Burns and Black's 'All killer, no filler' monthly box to that list too.

  • Cheers, I'm North London so Clapton Craft could be an option looking at those and pricing is a bit more reasonable than some of the others.

The bonus of the Brew By Numbers one that I used to have was that the prices were pretty decent, felt like I was getting a good deal rather than just a dozen beers at retail price.

  • Gravity Well has free shipping on orders of ≥12 (and a decent rotation of beer)

(Edit: Just realised you were looking for a subscription service, but leaving it here anyway)

  • Well ideally a subscription but if they are just coming out at the same price as a standard order I may just end up doing an order every so often instead.

  • I'd just order a mixed box from Kernel in that case.

  • Brothers in town and I’d never been so we’ve gone to the Waterloo Brewdog. They’ve really managed to do an amazing job of taking all of the fun out of drinking outside of the house.

  • And the hand dryers are crap.

  • I'm a big fan of https://brewser.beer

It's £38/month, and you can select a different brewery each month. Loads of breweries onboard too.

Shameless referral code which gets you £8 off the first box REF82DV4VNU8E

  • At first glance that does look good. Cheers

  • Small haul for later. Particularly looking forward to the burning sky petite cerise.
