Email me. I have some bargain rims, mid and high quality ones. Can supply, hubs, wheels, you name it.

Will do.
Thank you.

I took the rear reflector off while I was cleaning and adjusting my brakes last week, and just noticed today that moving the little bump-stop thing a few millimetres closer to the frame has affected the fold. Amazing how close all the tolerances are. Will have to pop a little spacer in there.

Stealth ad: I've got a spare 'long' silver seat post at home now. Based in sE6. does anyone want it for £15?
-
• #13631
No, the stop disc is adjustable so you can tweak the degree of movement / clearance
-
• #13632
Ah, gotcha. So I just need to wind it out by the width of the reflector mount. Thanks!

slightly off topic, is there anywhere in London i can donate random bike parts to for a good cause - i think there was charity that built up bikes?. All are in working order and things i've previously tried to sell, I don't want the admin of giving them away and coordinating pick up etc. a mix of brompton bits (seat post, hub, inners) and road (spares for brakes, cables etc.)

There’s the Bike Project, they sell and repair bikes to support refugees. If you’re near SE24, I have a local community project fixing bikes for kids in Camberwell and Loughborough Junction.

Thanks!
Is there any reason not to turn the saddle clamp round to move the saddle backward and give a bit more room?
-
• #13641
No.

I think you got the high rise bars too?
You can always rotate them too to make to increase the reach.
-
• #13643
Is there a way to increase the height on the M bars without replacing the stem? M are generally fine for me but just curious.
-
• #13644
Other than changing the bars… no. The stem is fixed, it’s not like a quill stem where there is some vertical adjustment.
However, I think Joseph Kousac do some “higher than M” bars that might suit?

What's the life expectancy of the seatpost liner thing - i'm a 14 months of commuting in and getting post slippage. I did nip the binder nut up a bit but i'm wary to do more...
-
• #13646
I think I usually got mine done at the same time as the rear hinge pivots, so every 12/18 months or so; or sooner if there was play. It’s a wearable part and like you didn’t want to crack the seat tube by over tightening the seatpost binder.

Thanks very much!
Dibs seat post if breaking.
To a more serious note - current brompton wheel rims or other makes - what is the cheapest rims silver twin wall 16 inch rims. Not for a brompton, for a moulton f. Also standard? width front hubs in 28 hole once again for the moulton.
