DCF tape goes a long way as far as I understand. Really resilient. But assuming you knew that. Unless you bought it in the last 4 weeks it’s silnylon, but MLDs is the best nylon there is as far as I understand.
You could also buy a bathtub floor from Yama, Zpacks, MLD etc etc. heavier, but nicer to have than just a groundsheet that water and dirt could get onto the top of.

Yeah the tape is really good, it's got a good bit on from damage I did using it racing srmr in 2019 (god that's a while ago).
I have some groundsheet material so will just use that. thanks for being a sounding board. I do think I'll buy a solomid when the opportunity arises.
I think I might as well keep the bug net in the altaplex, I'm sure if I take it out I'll miss it.
Having bad my zpacks out in the rain, the upper seems ok, thought maybe one pinhole. But the floor is done. So I will either cut it out Inc netting to make superlight tarp or replace floor.
The liteway solo seems good, but there are some comments on stitching issues. That said I might not fit (not sure why dimensions seem ok) and the duo has zips on both sides, which I've no need for.
I come back to my issue, I need a new tent that I can trust to be bomber in a rain storm. I've lost faith in the altaplex now, it's had a hard life with me and earned its keep.
I think I want a mld solomid really. But I will miss the inbuilt net of the altaplex.
Think I'm talking out loud!
Maybe I need to just suck up a few grams and use my duomid. Actually not sure if nylon or poly, just the floor size of it makes it harder to pitch in tight spaces.
Edit: After some coffee and thought, the best thing is to just use a groundsheet inside the altaplex, and then at some point replace it. The current ground sheet is like 60g or so, so hardly killing me carrying it still in there. And spend an hour looking for any pin holes in the upper by running it under water. Both of those and I'll be happy it's bomber again.
