Which rapha did you try? The randonee shorts are the best I've used over boxers. Comfy, dry quick, look nice off the bike, pockets etc.

Do people really use padded boxers and cycle specific baggy shorts for commuting purposes? How far are you riding? I do a 30km round trip in civilian tshirt and shorts and its totally fine.

Depends on your saddle, position, tyres comfort and whether you are still a bit tender from a long ride the day before!

Yeah Randonee, too skinny on the legs and i'm not a big fan of Rapha styling

I shower at work so a pair of riding boxers have been really useful (and comfortable) in the morning. I wear commuter jeans in the winter and like shorts in the summer but the last non cycling specific leg wear i commuted in lasted around 3 months before giving up at the crotch.

Tried a pair of Vulpine padded underwear and riding in them was less comfortable than regular underwear.

The Runderwear long leg boxers are the best I've found. Not padded, but really comfy.
Someone on here recommended them, they're so good I don't even wear padded shorts are all, just those under shorts.

If I don't wear padded shorts, my 30km round trip commute gives me horrible saddle sores! Different saddles, different bikes, same spots every time. Never used to be the case, I could do 10 hours of courier work in jeans. Maybe that's the source of the problem...

Went for some SWRVE transverse trouser shorts in the end. SWRVE 30" skinny fit cotton shorts with plenty of life left heading to the classifieds soon.
Also got some Spoke commuter jeans that have a hole at the crotch, not much use, not very impressed. They were always a bit skinny so i likely won't bother repairing them, if anyone is keen on fixing them i'd pass them on for a few beers.

Not ripton :(
SWRVE transverse are decent but can feel a bit rigid, a bit thick for summer, should the UK warm up.

Potential second dibs if they're black!

Noted, prefer to give local pick up priority but should be able to post if that changes

Is anyone making cotton or bamboo short-sleeve jerseys in 2023? I really need to replace my old Chapeau striped café jersey this year.

I'm sure it's been asked in here before but can't find it now. I'm intrigued by padded boxers. I spend about half of my week on a cargo bike and the bib shorts under normal shorts look is quite dorky. I like having proper pockets for tools/phone etc so haven't got on with just wearing bibs at work in the past. What are the go to for padded boxers? How do they compare to bibs? I don't struggle too much with being comfortable in the saddle all day but get quite bad saddle sores if I don't have any padding. I'm not looking to spend loads on something I'm not sure I'll like so budget options appreciated!

Not technically padded boxers but ive been really happy with my Patagonia Dirt Roamers. Bit spendy but mine were half price in the Sigma sale. I think they do a cheaper version but i do like some of the features like side pockets so i can wear light weight baggies without all the everything flapping around.

They look decent! £90 a pair though, blimey. I ordered some well reviewed Endura ones in the end. £30 for a 2 pack so not too much down the pan if they don't work out.

Is anyone making a long-back rear pocketed casual looking but practical cycling hoodie?
My now 10 year old U24 Hoodie is pretty much unwearable these days sadly

can anyone recommend someone to repair a couple of holes in a lightweight jersey? preferably central/east/north
the brand said they could do it but they are based in the netherlands so postage each way makes it expensive and they didn't seem keen because of the carbon footprint.
they said the holes would be too big for an invisible fix but hopefully there is someone who could make it wearable again.

If you can get down to HHV on Weds then there's a good chance that @Chopsicle and his friends could sort you out
