The Vosges mountains or the Black Forest have loads of good riding. Planche des Belles Filles is a good climb. For something a little more left-field, head over to Davos, embrace your inner oligarch, and do a loop through Zernez with the Fluellapass and the Albulapass.

I bought some Cero wheels, Shimano 9/10/11 which included what looks like a hub spacer. Is it? Is it for 9 or 10 speed? I will be fitting 11. Thanks.

Thickness would be the thing to know there.

Makes more sense, it doesn't look like a campy pattern and I'm not aware of them needing spacers. 1mm is for 10 speed cassettes on 8/9(10/11) speed HG freehubs, there's a thicker 1.85mm one to fit other cassettes onto an 11s road freehub

Plus whatever you have to hand to mash a 7 speed cassette onto non 7 speed freehub.

1mm is for rebated 10-speed cassettes on 8/9/10-speed hubs. The spacer for 8/9/10 on 11-speed hubs is 1.85mm, plus the 1mm if you're fitting a rebated 10-speed cassette.

I'm a sole trader and being asked if I can do inside IR35 for a project.

My understanding was that IR35 was relevant to freelancers working through their own ltd company. They know I'm a sole trader, not working through ltd. Why are they asking this? Is it something I've missed or something they've forgotten?

I work for lots of different clients. Usually a few days at a time. This would be 12 days for one client.

I'd assume all their other contractors are inside IR35 and for ease of admin they'd like to reuse an existing contract they've got written up.

If you're not a disguised employee then I wouldn't entertain the idea.
Actually, scratch the above line - you can't entertain it as you're not an incorporated company, so it's not even an option.

When was the last time you worked for them? All of the agencies I work for just stopped working with anyone that wasn't Ltd or working via an umbrella just tobprotect themselves so check whether they've changed their policy. If they haven't then this might just be them knowing the job falls within ir35 for typical freelancers and sending you the message.

Just because you've worked with them before don't assume they remember anything about your business set up.

Thanks both. I'm currently working with them on another shorter project which is what surprises me. And it's the same person who booked me about a week ago. Maybe she's just got lots of projects on and isn't thinking. Prior to that I haven't done any work for them since March and before that, November. Only a week tops, each time. No great shakes if they prefer someone IR35. I've got too much on to do a proper job but they're a giant company and sometimes filthy lucre is hard to turn down.

They responded saying they'd up my dayrate if I worked inside IR35 ('Due to the nature of this particular project it has to be inside'). Have emailed accountant but would just as soon turn it down than incorporate for this project alone (unless it's 3 grand a day or something).

If you're rolling from one project straight into another that's one of the main reasons for falling inside ir35. Even if you're not incorporated they can still be on the hook for disguised employment. That's why all the agencies I know binned off sole traders for simplicity.
