Just my two cents on the shipping thing, if you have he time I’ve certainly found it easy to take the ferry to the Netherlands and then train onwards vs. Flying. Did this with my hard tail in a bag plus a spare set of wheels and no one bats an eyelid at the luggage. It can be a pain to carry though.
