Ta. Will look for a BlueTooth version as can't be arsed with a 2.4GHz dongle, no matter how small.

I'm looking to upgrade my audio input for l, ideally under £100 i.e. get a stand alone mic as opposed to just using my webcam mic (Logitech c920)
Any suggestions - Modmic? a USB condenser mic on an arm?

Kind of the opposite of working from home - any suggestions for a portable second screen? USB-C, about 14" or so, that sort of thing. Windows.

Kinda depends on what you're doing while you're using it, but a lavalier mic (small one that is close to your mouth) gives good quality, and doesn't pick up other sounds (like tapping on your desk, the keyboard, sounds in the rest of the room etc.) as much.
Personally I'd try to find a used RODE Wireless GO for £100, I used one for two years and it worked and sounded great and was very convenient.
You do need to remember to turn it off when you're leaving the room, otherwise

not telling you to utfs but there was a fair amount of chatter about those on either this or the pc tech thread a few months ago you could probably dig up

I’m trying to help my wife get her home office set up right. She’s got a big monitor that I’m going to attach to the wall. She also has a laptop I’d like to attach to the wall too with something like this
Her laptop folds over so she can use it as a screen. Problem is no adjustment in angle.
The desk space is very small so need as much off the desk as possible.
Also no space for bigger desk.

how about something like this mounted on a small wall mounted monitor arm

I've used something similar for my macbook to lift it up off the desktop before and it worked well.

Ideally needs to be flush to the wall with the ability to change the angle.
The desk is 100x30. So about enough space for a keyboard and mouse without anything else in the way.

I think that's it. Includes the battery, WiFi stuff, remote.
It's very good, basically silent.
Last year I purchased a mobile Aircon too though when it was over 35'c for a week or so. Fans only help so much.

Bit of a slow response, but I've got a Lenovo M14 screen I use with my X1 Carbon. I like it.

Funny, that's what I went with.

Well, have some retrospective external validation.

Nice, think I'll get one too

Cheers. I've got an Aircon unit but too noisy (and expensive) to have on overnight. Want something quiet for night time.

Ordered, should have it midweek

I think you'll like it. It's mildly annoying that it's not the same resolution as my laptop, but it is pleasingly slim and light. And, being Lenovo, It Just Works. Which is nice.

Did you get the OLED X1?
I've only just ordered another X1 but open for the IPS with privacy screen which has a lower res in favour of longer battery life... I'm assuming that it will match the res of the monitor as it's just an IPS panel.
I did zero research before buying 🤷

Nope, didn't bother with the OLED screen on the X1. My current Carbon X1 (9th gen) has a 1920x1200 IPS screen. The M14 has a 1920x1080 screen, so a little shallower. The difference is only mildly annoying, as I tend to keep the same windows in the two screens - email and word processor (WordPerfect, cos I be Old Skool) on the laptop, web browser and pdf reader on the M14. Switching between the two requires the minimize/maximize shuffle, but it's no great hardship.
Nah, slouch life. I'm up and down enough when I'm in the office,
