Sir J R-M. Wonderful.

Johnson's response is quite Trumpian.
-
• #82456
Has he stolen loads of classified documents and left them strewn around his house too then?
-
• #82457
That wasn't Trump's response to anything.
-
• #82458
Of course not, as if he's ever read a briefing paper.

Could you imagine the outcry if any other US official was waving nuclear secrets around?

So what you all think will trump finally be convicted for a crime that dissqualifies him as future president?
-
• #82461
If not, surely this is as close as it’s ever going to get? And if it gets within a sniff, will he try to cut some kind of deal?
Surely DeSantis will try to ensure he does behind the scenes (if he can), while blaming Biden in public. It is in his back yard. But I don’t know how much sway he can have with a Federal investigation.

I am not a constitutional lawyer but am not clear criminal conviction or even being in jail is a bar to being president.

the bbc said last night the court case would start in 6-8 months time then trump would become the gop candidate and they couldn't take him to court as it would affect us politics, i know there a lot of legal info to collect but why does it take so long to come to court but it could allow him to become the next president, all trumps cases seem to be delayed by 6 or so months, so frustrating. get it fucking done and lock him up. drain the swamp.

Yeah will be interesting to follow. I cant see him beating this. Sure he will spin it without a doubt but from the news reporting at least, it seems he did some pretty obvious crimes. God i hope so anyways. Cant stand another 4 years with that constants circus again.

Only way he avoids jail is to be elected president first and then stop the trial, as chief lawmaker.
Apparently it is possible he could be elected even if in jail. Bonkers.

The founding fathers never thought the electorate would be stupid enough to want an imprisoned criminal for a president. Shows what they knew.

• #82467
where's the cut off
could he be president from prison ? -
• #82468
There seems to be a good chance one of the people Trump showed classified intel to was Kid Rock. Perfect.

I'm aware that the odds of the Michigan born rap rocker testifying to convict a President of treason were never zero.

could he be president from prison ?
It would probably need to be tested in the Supreme Court, but there is no specific constitutional reason why not.
Also, the Supreme Court is now comprised of the post masturbatory drippings from the mushroom shaped glans of Trump's orange manhood.
So, go figure...

It is amazing and joyous that they've found those 4 kids who were in the plane crash in the Colombian Amazon. 6 weeks moving around untouched jungle with a baby and they've come out with a few insect bites. Bear Grylls can fuck right off.

I remember reading about it a few weeks ago and thinking that the chances of finding them alive were slim, and diminishing by the day. So to read this morning that they've been found alive and well is just astounding, and life-affirming joyous.

Awesome
If you can pull it off without collateral damage the Tories might give you an OBE for thinning the herd.
