The one TBC linked is an ebike (also a decent mid drive system) which makes it a pretty bangin’ bargain compared to the one you linked.. not to mention it comes pretty much ready to carry children, with useful accessories like the rain cover and lights etc. (just seen it’s bidding so price could go up a fair bit ofc)
Also I remember reading somewhere that OG bullits had some issues with frames cracking- don’t know how likely but worth looking out for it if you do pick up an old one 2nd hand
Just stuff to think about! Hold out for a bullitt if it’s what you want

All good and useful thoughts thank you. It’s probably something more emotional than practical with the Bullitt and I think you and @tbc are definitely being more pragmatic and I am being slightly more midlife crisis about it. I have messaged the guy on eBay about the Babboe.
I have a question on the Babboe with car seats - Babboe sell the Steco Baby Mee adapter for car seat but don’t mention the Steco Mini Mee anywhere … my car seat will only fit to the Mini Mee … I’ll check with them later but if anyone has successfully fixed a Mini Mee to a Babboe would be good to know

Yeah the 1st gen and maybe 2nd gen so 2008 to 2011 its possible if you see a skinny seat tube, but TBH all of those broke well over a decade ago, they fixed it from 2011 IIRC and frames are best in the industry now. Bullitts don't brake anymore unless you crash into something solid.

Thank you - looks solid and definitely ticks the family-friendly box for a decent price. Glad you’re getting along with it. I think I might hold out a little longer to find a bullitt… I saw this on fb just now but it’s quite far from London and looks a bit battered … maybe just cosmetic though … keen to hear any opinions
