Will add my 2p pretty much in exactly the same boat having ridden my omnium for a year without assist, then added a BBS02 with an eggrider and love it. Also ride e-bullits at work and it's great. It doesnt make you lazy or less fit it just makes it an overall better experience.
I'll also have a 48v 20ah batt going spare soon that's had a few months use.
