I’ve hit a bit of a snag with the boardman air tt bike I’ve been preparing to race on this season - nabbed my hunt carbon wheels from the road bike so I could start exclusively putting mileage up on the boardman only to find they were so wide I couldn’t even get them between the pads with the calipers wide open.
What’s worse is that there are no modern carbon wheels that I’m aware of with an external rim width that would fit the bike. From measuring I think I’d need <20mm.
I’ve ordered some Swissstop flash evo black Prince pads which I believe are for bikes with tight clearance, but are there any new wheels with that narrow of a rim profile?
