Glad you are, it was wasted on me as I work in a workshop where it’s not a great place to have it.

Yep has a cool shiny case back . In truth feels very similar to cheaper g shocks but I am liking the slightly more pro feel

That’s very nice

Can the ‘analogue’ dial be set to a second time zone to the digi?
-
• #72482
Cheers mate. Thanks for the speedy delivery too
-
• #72483
Yes, it has a world time mode which does exactly that. Local time stays on the analogue display but if you want you can just set the home time zone to somewhere else and the world time zone to London.

Which 5600 G-Shock should I buy? I love the look but there are an overwhelming number of options

straps and bezels are easy to come by and easy to swap out, so if you get bored of it, fairly cheap and quick switch to something new.

I vote for this one , atomic time setting and solar power are the two most useful features
https://www.casio.com/us/watches/gshock/product.GW-M5610-1/. As I have one .
You often find this model on sale - or pay a bit more and get the one I showed further up. -

Agree with the above - 5610.
I'd always go for one with atomic time setting and solar power. I got mine cheap from Argos.

My personal preference would also be a GW-M5610 model so you get solar charging and radio sync but not (the unnecessary and power-sapping) bluetooth (generally 5610 = solar, 5600 = non solar, except the DW-5610 series which is not solar - look for the words TOUGH SOLAR on the front). That way you get the best balance of functionality and battery life. I'd also recommend a positive screen (black on white) rather than a reversed (white on black) one as they are easier to read.
Personally I prefer the older EL (electroluminescent) backlights to the newer LED light (EL gives much more even illumination and a cool blue colour) but they are being phased out, you'd probably have to find some old stock. The newer version is the GW-M5610U, U for updated, but they don't list it as such, you need to check to see if it says "EL BACK LIGHT" on the front of the watch. If it just says "LIGHT", it's LED.
As DethBeard says it's very easy to obtain replacement OEM bezels and straps and completely change the look.

Here’s a 5610u for good measure. I miss the old light but you can set the date the right way.

Has always been my reason for not bothering with Extracts.. They were just a method for dealers/unscrupulous individuals to give credence to Franken's
