Yes.
But... why?
The racing licence won't work outside of BC events, and the insurance doesn't work outside of the UK, etc.
I'm not sure BC would even be recognised in events in European countries, am pretty sure you'd need to be a member of something local to the country or at least recognised by that country.

Ah... actually some sportives in Europe will accept a BC "Full Racing Licence"... if this is what you mean.
-

Yeah that. It’s more so that I don’t HAVE to join a local club. That said I probably should at some point or just get a few mates together and start one.

I don't think you need to be a member of a club to have a full BC racing licence... you just get the membership level that comes with the licence.
If you do need to put a club down... feel free to be a member of LFGSS, as we do not charge membership.

Wow, how did I miss this whole deBaCle?
Where's BC's "integrity officer" when you need them...
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/mar/26/british-cycling-to-appoint-integrity-officer-jiffy-bag-aftermath"This year UK Anti-Doping also attacked the organisation saying that its Jiffy bag investigation was “hindered” and may have been “potentially compromised” by British Cycling’s failure to report the doping allegations sooner."

Renewed affiliation... let's see how we go :)

Just found my unsigned, non-laminated BC license... from 2009.
I don't even remember joining BC but I presumably needed it for some race.
Is racing still a thing in the UK? :S

Yes. He's a member now!
Seriously though, this is why the club exists, so go ahead.

I'm confused, which is increasingly common, but is LFGSS CC affiliated to BC now or not? I can't find it on the BC club list (and the search function never returns) on their website.
I intend racing cross in club colours this season so just wanted to ensure I featured as such in BC results.

Excellent. Thanks, I'll 'join' on the BC website.
Thanks David.

This d0esnt seem to still be true.
Is it possible to be a member of a BC affiliated club without living in the UK? There are a few events around Europe that want some sort of federation membership and it’s a real pain in the arse here.
