Cheers.
We painted on lining paper and moved around the room. But giant stickers sound easier.
I tried that dulux app thing, but it was pretty shit.
I guess next time we need to take more care checking against accessories. Obviously these can be changed, but I like our curtains.

How do folks on here choose and test colours?
Try loads of tester pots, lose the will to live. Pick one at random (sometimes a new one that you didn't even try) because you just want it done.

All of the talk of Vola on this thread had me loving the Arne Jacobsen designed KV1. The delays in actually getting the work underway have meant a few more paydays have passed so I saved my pennies and ordered one yesterday.

Finally we almost have a bathroom, fitter back today to finish off with shower screen and toilet then I have to sort the Perspex for window reveals and paint window.
Out of shot is the unfinished light fitting and making good of the ceiling which should have been done before everything else went in but that never happened due to availability of trades and other stuff taking priority.

Top work.
When you're finished up do you fancy a new exciting and challenging opportunity?

What? Like being paid for floating around making mood boards and talking about Japandi and MCM?
I could do that. Though this was a team effort with my partner.

I like that. Feels like it should be too much, but isn't.

You can also just paint a sheet of A4 paper, then you can move it around and see how the light looks in different spots etc
-

Yeah. We have a massive roll of lining paper, so I did A3ish ones.
However, didn't spot the curtains or the level of taupeness in the evening. Going to give a brighter cooler light a try, as we have quite a warm light to balance the blue in the evening.

Simple, minimal door knobs, B&P are a bit punchy and West London Daddy was in the music biz for my liking.
Suggestions?

Quite partial to a porcelain mushroom to be fair but this metal one is nice too - prolly not that great in the hand tho.

That metal one could be the winner! It’s for a door off a hallway so will only ever be closed at night to keep cats out, low profile is defo beneficial. Cheers as ever champ.
Edit: argh price.

Have you looked on aliexpress?
Solid Alu or brass stuff is usually good there.

Cheers! We've worked out we can go recessed, so same as pocket door, will have aborwse both that link and SDS for some nice simple black ones...

We need to lay vinyl floor in our hallway, any recommendations of a fitter in Catford area SE6?

New shower enclosure didn't come with any top caps for the frame/door, not missing from parts but missing from the design entirely. Any clever ideas to seal the gaps?

We have a bunch of those sticky test cards on various walls to view at different times of day. Sadly I’m colourblind and can hardly tell the difference between the swatches anyway
