Not so far, I have just used it in one day of weather but no noticiable weirdness. I would not ride it in serious wind though (Same as with the kids box on the back really) but so far in mild wind it just flexed a bit . Its a bit fidly to get set up but so far so good.
This part of Austria is not generally known for its extreme weather, Maybe a few days a year that would be too wild for this. And those days we just wouldn't use the bike

It does not but it seems to work ok. I would not ride it in a thunderstorm but most of the rain we get here is more of the steady rain for days type not the tropical stuff (Austria but not the part with mountains) depending in how it works out might use this as a starting point for a custom bike tent in the future.
