I was wondering about this. My new GRX shifters have got the two new buttons. Do I need another piece of hardware to make them work?
What do people mainly use them for - shifting garmin screens seems the obivous one.

If you want to try it, mine's gone straight back into the box. I was considering sending it back actually as I don't think I'll use it.

Thanks, but I think I'm coming round to your point of view. If it was something that just worked with a bit of software / setup that would be fine, but not sure it's worth adding in an extra component just to flip screens.
