I would agree with all these points, the best thing about having an EV is the ease of charging at home and only needing to charge every now and then in the wild. I am currently the otherway round and rely on chargers most days of the week and it is a real grind!
Edit: if all you are doing is 10 - 15 miles a day a 2015 leaf will do you fine, as fore depreciation, I know newer leaf's have had their value drop drastically over the last few months but the older ones haven't been hit too hard it seems, I don't think it would be too much of an issue unless battery health takes a tumble.
I’ll try and trawl through this thread in a bit, but just thinking about switching from my petrol car to an EV, as I just drive around a 5-mile area in SE LDN.
What basics do I need to consider, other than charging point/cost? Is it roughly the same price as petrol?
I think I can sell my car for £6k; would I be happy with a 2015 Leaf for a similar amount? Is depreciation massive if I upgrade in the next few years? Etc.
Any tips appreciated!
