It works on my wahoo (ultegra shifters). I change screens with one of the top buttons. I have the inline wireless unit although it's actually in the handlebar end on it's own cable from the shifter. Figured there was no point in adding a junction that could potentially fail, hidden inside the frame.

do you just have a small cable? i am going to install the same one (or maybe even the bar end one?) on my winter bike to save on the cost of a cable...

I think for the Garmin, the Bluetooth unit.
It's annoying wahoo isn't supported. Or at least I've not worked the same out.
