Cool stuff!
(PS - I don't have suitable sticker to trade - and I never dare glueing on cool stickers anyway - but could you post a nice scan at decent res please? Would love to print myself one, and Quick Google search didn't bring any images of this...)

You can have one. It's all good.

Race to the bottom of Highgate West Hill, over the speed bumps with an extra hot grande latte (with skimmed milk, natrually). Combination of time taken and coffee left is used to calculate the winner.

Just had a read through the thread, looks awesome and like a hell of a lot of fun to ride!
I remember picking up my first shopper and realising that Hayes BMX track was on the way home, that was pretty damn fun!

Skim? Whole milk or GTFO.
I was also thinking of the "least disturbed fern in their latte art" as a tie breaker.

Thanks, but unless you have hundreds, I'd rather not have a "rare" sticker... I never dare use them, and untimely they get lost!

+1 for this race happening

I can't imagine getting to the bottom without disturbed latte art...

Least disturbed latte art. Anything that still looks like a fern/tulip/heart would win.

Looks so good. Does the wooden box slap against the front rack?
-
• #62
Nope. The box is firmly in place with 5 rubberised P-clips. They go around the bars of the rack and the box is bolted to the p-clips. It's very sturdy, no rattling and no noise.

Top project - looks great fun.
Are you still having problems with the VO stand? I have a black Pletscher/esge double kickstand I'll swap for a Harris sticker. You'd need to trim to length (or have comedy flying bike)

Thank you.
I have had to abandon the VO stand. When it was folded up, it wouldn't sit high enough to the chainstays. It was scraping the ground even on gentle turns. I ended up using one of these.
It's adjusted to sit at the perfect height, it's still a nice stable bi-pod, and it folds neatly out of the way. Really a nice piece of kit. Wish I had found it earlier.

Nice job with this - Looks well fun!
How's the suntour crankset? Thinking of replacing the crankset on my girlfriends bike and it looks a decent price.
-

There are probably better options to be honest. The black coating on the cranks is a bit of a bodge job - the paint is uneven and there is a lot of overspray that made it's way into the pedal and crank bolt thread. This set happened to have the right size/colour options available for me so it made sense for my build. This is never going to be an every day bike but for the limited mileage it will be doing, it suits my purposes.

Holy thread resurrection batman.
Have got a bobbin twenty and like the look of this, what front rack was this. Any idea what the widest tyres I could fit with the standard mudguards?
-
• #72
Rack was factory. Nothing third party.
re: Mudguards - do you mean the standard mudguard ones that come with the bike? The ones from the factory were 47mm
I would be surprised if you can find full coverage 20" wheel mudguards TBH, it was really challenging when I built this up. I am pretty sure that SKS don't make them anymore.

Balloon tyres, big apple plus 55 (as samwell?) mentioned would make the bike in to a full on sand/moon bike and therefore perfect for londons shitty roads.
As you mentioned not seen those guards as I did do an internet search.
Thank you for the reply.
Hmmm
