• I have a case of plantar fasciitis and my wife bought me some soft insoles online. They came with the same "stepping on shit feeling" which she shared on her work whatsapp for the lols. Apparently, this is a direct translation of a genuine Chinese phrase for soft underfoot.

Makes me smile every time I wear the insoles though :)

  • I had it for years. It's not called policeman's heel for nothing. I also had weirdly high arches. Miserable but I found the best thing for me was standing on the edge of the stairs with the balls of my feet and letting my heels slowly drop below my toes. Effectively stretching the Achilles. It's a nice pain but makes your heel a lot better, eventually.

  • A case of a policeman’s plantar fasciitis can be a drop from heel to toe, won?
    Apologies

  • Had it for years too. Stretching did the job for me. The heel drop work well but I found doing the backs of my thighs was also a necessity. Touching my toes while concentrating on not arching my back made for a real deep stretch all the way from heel to hip.
