This thing is a rocket and an absolute mountain goat! This frame was Rose’s highest specifical road race bike when I bought it from @yetidamo in 2018*. This frame got rave reviews: the cheapest build Rose did with this frameset was £3,900.

Bought as a Sunday best and used for a single summer (never ridden in the rain) and a single trip to Alps to see the Tour (got rained on, torrentially, once). Otherwise has lived indoors.

@yetidamo had treated the F&F really well – he had them from new and gave me the backstory, which was basically that other than a couple of choice rides he also only used it on the turbo.

Condor did the build for me, and they’re the only guys that have serviced it – most recently about a year ago, when I originally intended to put it up for sale. Someone in there recommended putting on a gold chain.

The frame has a couple of small scuffs, shown in the photos, including an annoying one on the top tube for a recent house move. One of the shifters and the rear mech have scrapes down the side, however I bought them this way (the bike has never been crashed!) and they work absolutely fine. The 11-speed Giant hub isn’t compatible with the campag group but it works fine imho and I’ve never had any trouble with it, although it is a bit noisy.

I spent about £3,000+ on this set up. Looking to get £1,800 for the whole lot, or £1,650 without the hoops. Obvs this isn’t the ideal place to sell a bike like this, but thought I’d give it a go here first as I bought the core bits here originally. Not going to split because I’m lazy.

    Collection only in E17

  • Way too small for me but a solid build! What's the weight - sub 7kg?

  • It's a nice build.
This is the best place to sell a bike like this ! But i feel pricing is a little high even with super record...
Glws, I'd be up for the wheels at 150£ :)

  • This bike is a weapon. Fastest bike I've ever owned. I only sold it as I had a hankering for discs. Glws.

  • I don’t actually know: I did weigh it after the original build and I think it was slightly over 7kg. However weighing scales haven’t turned up after the house move so I can’t double check

  • Thanks! You might be right but let’s see. I’ll note that as first dibs on the wheels if someone takes the rest ;-)

  • If you don’t manage to sell the complete bike, I would be very interested in the groupset!

  • Awesome bike, too small for me but glws and have a bump in the meantime

  • ☀️☀️☀️Sunny day price drop ☀️☀️☀️
£1,600 full bike (or £1,450 without wheels)

  • Final price drop to £1,500 full bike (or £1,350 without wheels).

If it doesn’t go at this price then I’ll remove from here and chance the dreaded eBay next time I get reduced selling fees

  • I am watching those wheels, if you do split they’ll go so quickly.
    What hubs are they pls?

  • Sent you a PM

  • @Chalfie - I’m not splitting, and it it goes without the wheels I’ll list them separately. The price won’t be £150 (unless you’re buying the rest of the bike too!)

The hubs are Giant - I think that SLR1s come prebuilt, and they don’t have any identifying info on them.

  • I’m not buying! I’m skint and if they were listed I’d watch them disappear over the horizon.

  • Final (final!) price drop to £1,300 for the full bike

  • That’s a phenomenal deal I think

  • Is this mounted with Shimano cassette? I’ll be in London next week and will come and have a look if still around

  • Looks like a shimano lock ring. And cassette.

  • It is. Giant hubs don’t come with a campag free hub (as far as I’m aware). Although the hub isn’t compatible with the campag group it works fine and I’ve never had any trouble with it
