That’s unreal and he was lucky he wasn’t kicked. I have absolutely no sympathy at all - not even a smidgen! Arse

How is that even a prank, it's just assault? Or is the guy he jumped part of it?

Electric hobs.
I’ve tried a few. Problems include;
Slow to respond.
Imprecise heat.
Unfathomable switchgear.
Cutting out when the pan gets near the controls.Ok for heating a tin of beans but cooking? Forget it.

Replace with an induction hob

Cutting out when the pan gets near the controls.
Like, magnets?
We have a late 60s/early 70s unit, good enough until it (or we) break.

Induction hobs.

Easy to clean, responsive and even heat. What is to hate?

When you don't have one, so only ever use them at friends or airbnbs, then spend ages working out how to use it correctly. Also their fragility meaning they're short lived disposables.
-
• #22537
But yeah, overall they're great

Gas or GTFO

Gas when not connected to the mains is a pain. Plus a gas hob is less easy to clean.
Add in the variable heating zones and the ability to set a timer for each pan, and less hot spots with induction I am a convert.

We were at a place for Christmas, had to google how to use the hob as there were no instructions and a minimalist approach to markings on the hob - really fucking annoying when you just want to cook breakfast!

Building waste.
Right now we have a massive pile of floor offcuts, old parquet tiles, wood paneling, etc.
I've pick through to grab a few of the more usable bits, but even disregarding the price of wood it bugs me. The feather edged wood panels is really grating me for some reason as they'd be perfect for when I put insulation in the shed ceiling, but I'm probably 30% short and I know trying to match it, etc. Will be too much hassle.

You’ve read about how dangerous gas ranges are?
(Not referring to explosions) -

'elf & Safety gone mad, innit?

Also those freestanding American ones are proper shit. The well sections are so deep they seem like more of a pain to clean. And the oven sections always freak me out.
^ I know they say the right can't meme, but those chaps all look like they'd work for a gas stove unit.

That massive Land Rover in the middle of the velodrome at the Hour Record the other month was an Ineos Grenadier. Review here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Cr05r2CYsk
It's bigger than the biggest Land Rover and weighs in at 2.9 tonnes. That's 3.6 times the weight of my car. It's bad enough that a lot of leccy vehicles are sitting at 2.5+ tonnes, but this is just a massive cuntmobile for massive cunts who want to be cunts when they drive. I fucking hate vehicles like this.

Looks sick tho

• #22547
No, how so?
-
• #22548
Most gas ranges are poorly shielded and leak formaldehyde, CO et cetera.
Google 'are gas stoves dangerous?', there's a Guardian article that outlines the risks. -
• #22549
Tbh it's not the induction itself that's the problem, it's the stupid capacitive touch controls. Knobs or gtfo

How did you write that?
Decent hobs control panels are as responsive as a mobile phone screen.
Dickheads blasting along the footpath on their stolen lime bikes. They act all hard when called out about it yet they’re too scared to ride in the road at any point. Pricks.
