I am made peace with the fact is my loft is basic bitch+, going to throw some money into some custom cabinetry, not that I have any, but hopefully that'll lift it up a bit.

Not at all. You just need a proper architect and a team who are fully managed to work towards the vision. I’d hoped to be able to do all that with very limited resources, but sadly not.
