I like the Wellgo MG-8 pedals. I wish I had another pair. Not a whole lot to report except that they work, they are single sided, and they provide the tension adjustment needed to achieve positive feeling in/out and some float.
Bought them used, and the spindles didn't turn freely. So before using them disassembled, mounted each axle in a power drill and rotated in ~800 grit emery paper to reduce the spindle width, then they went back into the bearigns without deforming them so much.
I am using XPEDO M-Force 8 SPD pedals on my SS bike to avoid faffing with single sided pedals in town. They are a lightweigfht double sided pedal and really great, but ££££.
Part of me still misses the chonky supportive platform provided by Look pedals. I am tempted to revisit!
