Kona Cinder Cone 1995

Picked this up locally a few weeks ago. It's in OK condition. lots of marks and a small dent in top tube that I'm not bothered about.

Plan is for a canti front rack and child seat on the back for full Dad-mode.
1x9 speed.

I will build up from bits from the bin that I already have and deore level parts.

Whats the function of the extra clamp around the seattube?

Just a cable guide for the rear brake. No idea why they didn't just add a guide on the frame.

The clamp is the Kona ‘dog collar’

The seatpost should be 27.0 also. Did you cram a 27.2 in there?

No I had a dodgy AliExpress ‘27.2’ Seatpost in the parts bin that measures 27.0 so it’s a perfect fit. I’ll probably replace with a silver one eventually.

Old deore crankset with cheapo narrow wide ring.

Brakes and gears all cables up, need to sort out a dodgy chainline. Then just waiting on the rack.
