I’m not finding any analysis anywhere of who will ride road, tt, mongrel with clip ons, helmet choices etc anywhere. Presumably it depends if you are aiming for a good time or not, if not you ride a road bike.

A thought on the race being boring...

Watching any sport is boring. Participating in said sport is not boring.

My older brother used to watch le tour when we both still lived at home and I couldn't see the point at all, but it did remind me to go out and ride my bike. He never rode his. Never saw the point in that.

However now I have close to zero time to ride my bike I quite enjoy watching the boring bike races.

I watch scheldeprijs, I know what boring is. I dont want that from a GT let alone a GT queen stage. Boring giro 2023, fact.

I've enjoyed watching the race. Sure the GC has been slow to kick off but there's been some amazing performances from the rest. Derek Gee absolutely smashing himself everyday, Ben Healy going solo from 30k, Pinot being Pinot, Nico Denz sprint. Definitely been entertaining. Hopefully this time trial is chaos.

It's OK, Rog is in my Velogames squad might salvage mid-table for me...

Is their premium stuff good enough to make me want to cancel my Eurosport subscription and got with GCN+ for TdF? At the moment I am paying for a Eurosport subscription I hardly use only to watch the free GCN Youtube summaries when I get home from work.

For some reason I went with GCN+ rather than Eurosport for this year.

Probably price. I haven't seen anything other than live races and highlights so far so if you've already got that it might not be worth the switch.

This is actually an amazing 24 hours for SRAM. I think the commentary must’ve said the brand name at least 300 times so far. And if Rog takes enough time back today, SRAM wins the Giro.
