Check ebay for a few weeks, prices for identical items can vary wildly.
Lovely bike! Cook cranks can be fragile, Topline were similar and always broke. -

You're welcome! Good photos and description along with willingness to post (get bike box from Halfords) will all help with the £'s.

I guess being 26" this prolly qualifies for this thread now....

finally got the Raleigh Dyna-Tech Diablo I picked up three years ago in to a better rideable state.
I got the fork that @e54 shared from French ebay a few years ago and they are the highlight of this bike. And probably deserve to be on something better.
but they will see plenty of action so that is the main thing.

I am eyeing up a retro White Industries crankset. The one made by Sugino (for Marin?). I want to run them on a single speed so chainline is important. I can't find any info about recommended bb spindle length or chainline though. Does anybody know?

What is the rear spacing of the frame they are intended for?
-
• #3915
It's 135mm with a single-speed hub. So no chain line adjustments there. I was thinking if I know the original spindle length and chain line I can calculate the one I need for my purpose.

Oops, just read original post again. Thought you already had BB.

Readers - though probably a stretch to call it a mountain bike it seemed more fitting in here than the SSMTB thread

My old team issue Pace rc200 from about 25 years ago is finally back in my hands and coming back to London with me today! 😍
It originally had Sram 9.0 mechs and shifters, and Hope brakes, but now has XTR mechs and combined shifters/brake levers, and Avid BB7 brakes. It's Syncros post is long gone, and the original Pace rc35 stem and Pace bars have been switched to a Hope stem and Easton carbon monkeylite bars.
Still has the original Hope ti hubs, original Middleburn square taper cranks and Pace rings, original Chris King rasta headset minus the green top cap.I have a set of singlespeed dropouts at home for it, so I think it's going to be changing setup into something more useful for street use.
I have to say though... It's scary as fuck to ride now having been riding nothing but my Omnium cargo for years. I'm not used to the light weight and razor sharp handling. 😬

Murts had one of those before it was stolen - he waxed all kinds of lyrical about the frame.
Very nice ride.

Yeah Murtle had the original rc100. Painted black. Such a shitter it got pinched. 😕

two rings on a triple with a friction shift is the way

Agreed! I used an old Deore Crankset to assemble this super useful sub compact crankset for my girlfriends Karakoram. Finishing touches are these tabs for the outer ring position.

Sorry to hear about your friends dad. :(
Nice bike! There will be a lot of interest on RetroBike for that. Seatpost looks like it's inserted in backwards and hope the seatpost isn't stuck as titanium can gaul (spelling?!).
There's this thread on RB:

eBay/FB is your biggest audience. You'd get more stripping it, but should be able to get over £500 easy as a complete bike. People would certainly be interested in your cranks, stem and forks as well as frame as separate purchase items.
