this would become the one dolan to rule all dolans of the London fixed scene if it wasn’t located so far away

For what it's worth, Strong V look great but are horrible to use. Had them on my Donohue for a while but they shredded my hands.

Second this, i tried 4mm Champ Yoshida after Stong which were a marginally better but then i discovered ESI's and my hands have been happy ever since.
@hollow__legs bike is looking great, how much of a lump is the Nitto stem? I'm after something simple in silver in 120mm and would like a bit more rise than an X2.

I remember having them on my Roberts track bike years ago. I remember them looking good but I don’t remember them being comfortable, so you’re probably right. Shame as I like the little armadillo on them.
@jono84 I’ve used ESI before and they’re very good. I don’t think the stem is that much of a lump, or at least I didn’t pick it up and think Bloody hell, that’s heavy. It’s not as nicely machined as a Thomson. I couldn’t find a 120mm in stock in the UK however, so went for 110mm.

I remember them shredding my hands and then falling apart too (strong-v) - but needed for njs commitment

I’ll get some proper photos taken at some point next week when I next have a chance to take it out for a ride. It feels nice pedalling around the car park with trainers on, though.

And I’ll be needing to do some bits and bobs to my fixed road bike. After this weeks 1000km audax the chain is now done for and a slow fall (on a cycle path less than 100km from home - of all places!) has misaligned my brake lever.

She's a beauty but... silver seatpost would be the cherry on top.

Gorgeous. Are these the new gen ATACs? Are they as bad as people make them out to be?
-

@young_gun I agree and I did think about this but Nitto don’t make a seatpost (that I could source) in 32.6. At least the Alpina seatpost matches the forks.
@maj Thank you.
@Tijmen These are some really old carbon XC8’s. These ones are very good. I have some of the newer XC’s which I’ve put considerable mileage on and haven’t had any issues with so far.

Ufff.
What's the fat cat sticker?
I got one on my Genesis off here and have been wondering -
• #217
It’s a chubby bobcat by Team Dream Team.

Ooooooft, it's good. Anyone want to sell me a Seta in 54? I'm getting unhealthy urges after seeing this.
-
• #219
If someone else also have a seta in a 54 I would like one too
-
• #220
I've just remembered that I'm totally skint so you get first dibs of this imaginary 54 Seta. I've got Seta tastes on a Pre Cursa budget.

That’s assuming I can also afford one right now which I can’t. Can pay in dust

Maybe this plus shim?

Agree with above that a silver post would look even better. Anyway it's really good as are the pictures

After this weeks 1000km audax
Big fan of how casually you dropped this in
I also like mismatched colour stem and seatposts, altho I go the other way round
Either way that stem and bar combo is perfect for this -

@e54 I did consider that seatpost and it actually comes in 31.6 but I’m not a fan of the taper at the top and didn’t really want to order anything from overseas.
@shinkuu_kiss I’m kinda panicking now as after fitting a new chain I discovered the whole drivetrain is knackered.
I’ve ordered a replacement cog and chainring but now I have to prey they arrive in time for a 600 this weekend. If not I’ll have to put the old chain back on as the new one sounds like a WWII tank on the worn cog.
When did track stuff become so hard to source? EAI/Phil Wood cogs seem to be out of stock everywhere.
New Nitto stem and bars arrived and got fitted today. I went to fit the Strong-V grips but there was either a manufacturing defect or they’ve deteriorated in storage as there are lots of holes in one of the grips where the indentations are. Have emailed the shop to see if they’ll exchange them as I only bought them recently.
Don’t suppose anyone has any Champ grips or similar in black they’re looking to move on just in case? NJS style grips seem to be (unsurprisingly) hard to come by these days.
