  • Stop crying. Pounds per point always wins.

  • Is that Todd?

    He’s broken football.

  • Bit late , but well done to Forest for avoiding the final day scramble. I can just about remember last season and the serene feeling of getting spanked by Arsenal and really not caring at all. Awonyi hit form at the perfect time for them.

Cheers. After Mina's equaliser I thought we would get dragged back in, but we barely gave Arsenal a sniff.

With Leicester getting a point last night the final day is going to be mad, I sympathise for all involved, except anyone connected with Leeds.

  • We went into the last match of last season needing to only match Leeds' result to stay up.

    We didn't.

  • I'm bricking it already, just doing my best to forget about it. Ultimately I'd have 100% taken this position after the end of Lampard's tenure. I've been convinced we were down probably 3 or 4 times this season. The draw at Forest, Fulham twatting us at home and the Leicester 2-2 all seemed progressively terminal. The Brighton demolition job was some kind of beautiful, awful reprieve as in many ways I just wanted the sweet kiss of premier league death and to move on with sorting out the mess of our club, but suddenly we had some hope. It's in our hands now, If we can't beat Bournemouth in our own back yard in front of 38,000 rabid evertonians then really we don't deserve to stay in the league. I think we can do it. Or I hope we can. It's all a bit blurred right now.

  • I'd like the bottom three to stay as it is, so I hope your boys can beat Bournemouth in your own back yard in front of 38,000 rabid evertonians.

  • I'd like the bottom three to change as many times as possible over the course of the day.

Also bonus points for there being some random crowd/infrastructure/floodlight/transport problems to cause one of the matches involving Leicester/Leeds/Everton to be delayed by 15 minutes, giving that team a supposed unfair advantage of knowing what they need to do.

  • Fabulous strike by Enciso against City. Still enjoying that goal at Chelsea

    Nobody wants to manage Tottenham.

  • I vote for Southgate.

  • I'm ruling myself out of the running.

Put Frank Lampard's name on the Manager's Office door now.

  • Mourinho Part Deux?

  • Calling it now: Brendan Rodgers to Spurs. Match made in heaven.

  • Am I misremembering but they had this before didn't they - I can't remember who it was they ended up with (Santo?) but he was like fourth or fifth choice or something

  • Think it was closer to 9th/1oth. Rodgers was in the reckoning then as well. They've already burned through 2 since Conte, so have plenty of time to reach double figures again.

  • They are still 13 days short of that manager selection process so plenty of time to be rejected by a couple more.

    This weekend I would like:
Bournemouth win, Leicester win, unlikely Leeds win. Everton and Leeds both down.
Man City win, Villa win. Villa into the ECL.

  • Nah Leicester and Leeds down for me all day.

Leeds fans are the worst, and growing up in Leicester as a Forest fan was awful so they can get in bin too.

  • I don't really mind which two out of the three go down. they have all entertained in different ways.

Going to be epic end to the season on Sunday. Really hoping I can finish my Sunday workshift in time to get back to my local and which it all unravel.

  • Obviously I want Leeds to go down. Fairly indifferent on Leicester. Wouldn't mind Everton staying up with the various Burnley links but would be entertained if their years of mismanagement finally bit them on the arse.

The Championship has been great this year though (obviously winning loads of games helps). Loads of entertaining matches, anyone beating anyone and no VAR.

  • Still can't get my head around Luton or Coventry being in the PL next year.

  • ffs chelsea come on
just cause you didn't make the champions league, no need to spoil our chances too

  • Loved the Jose dig at Spurs today in his Roma press conference.

This Utd Chelsea game is a calamity fest.

  • Coventry were in Division One (and the first year of the Prem) all through my childhood, so not that far fetched.

  • Looking forward to Frank Lampard having to square being a Tory yet being long-term unemployed.
