Other than his stage wins, he appeared pretty chill with the jersey until the 20th day of the Tour that he won. -
He doesn't want to get too excited with what could be, knowing he's probably still got a big fall in him somewhere.
It would normally have come in some innocuous seeming moment in KM 40 of a beach resort sprint stage, so he's probably getting nervous waiting.

Wiggins has always said he's like this and it's what makes him a good GT rider, very little flusters him and he never really gets too emotional and goes absolutely all in.
