Re commentary commentary, I have to say I think Friebey is in particularly good form on TCP ATM. I like him in the leading role and the calls with Lionel are very sweet.

Kuss pulled off to allow Primoz to launch the weakest attack and has to to catch him up and pull again.
Roglic looks like he's in his "having a whitey" zone -

Oh no Thibaut.

Thibaut Renshaw!

This. What a shame. Was rooting for him.

It's always good to see the Italian National Champion win a stage in the Giro.
Pinot had too many objectives today; KoM jersey, GC position and stage win. I think he wasted too much energy pursuing the other two.

Pinot has the panache of JuJu, the tactics of 2019 MVDP, and the legs of Pinot.

Reader, I lol'd.

So much this. Not sure why he’s bothering with GC position, how good will a top 5 be for him without a stage win?
-
• #44962
Missed the stage and the highlights aren’t out yet, did I miss much?

Youramericanlover is correct. Was kinda worth the watch and I confess I rooted for him. But no use to rewatch for the attack on G. Hopefully the more tomorrow.

Major sticky bottle from the italian champ earlier though !

What's up with G? Seen him in several jersey ceremonies now and it seems like he is really struggling to show some positive emotions.

Expect it’s a stress manangement tactic.
Other than his stage wins, he appeared pretty chill with the jersey until the 20th day of the Tour that he won. -

The interview with Arne Marit on stage 17 was really great.

The first 45 kms and last 20 kms were good.

I don't understand how, when Thomas has to ride on his own, the others are allowed to ride behind their teammates. That's just cheating. And especially on his birthday.

The big loser of this Giro is Carlton Kirby. Who, outside the framed Daily-Express-Special- Royal-Wedding-Issue community could possibly think it would have been even as good, let alone better, with him there? But come the Tour he'll be back, like that foot fungus you thought had finally cleared up.

He doesn't want to get too excited with what could be, knowing he's probably still got a big fall in him somewhere.
It would normally have come in some innocuous seeming moment in KM 40 of a beach resort sprint stage, so he's probably getting nervous waiting.

Has anyone noticed the tracking of Roglic's right knee?
At 6.8km to go, from the front on shot you can see his knee is all over the place.
Amazing he can still perform to this level. -

There was a rumour that he had significant abrasions to his hip after the crash that sent Tao home. Might be compensating.

Thanks all.
Will be interesting to see how that get on with today’s stage. That last ramp seems brutal.
G looks good, sunglasses aside.
