Mate saw a socket set for £25 online (halfords)
went down to the shop, told him it was £75.
He mentioned the online price, which they said was online only.
He stood there, ordered on his phone with click and collect, and waved the collection barcode at them and handed them the product.
Didn't even need to leave the desk.Glad they are now price matching themselves at the till these days.

To add more to my hate, the collect from store option was the same price as delivery unless you spend over £100 in which case you get a gift card to be used in store for the amount of the delivery charge so still have to spend the delivery charge and then try to find something in store that costs £5.
I needed some Radweld recently.
Unfortunately (not so local) Halfords seemed to be the most likely place with stock I could physically collect. Online price £4.99. Shelf price £12.99. Checked with a geezer setting up the number plate machine. Was assured the till operator would honour the online price, which fortunately she did.
Is this 'surge' or 'dynamic' pricing, or just funding the Halfords' Chairperson's Bentley & cigars lifestyle?
