You would be very, very surprised at the deal I got on that bike. It has full pump pegs, a lamp mount on the fork, and loads of other small touches. I am very, very impressed at the build quality too.
I cannot get the basket any lower - the axle mounted stays won't clear the rounded shape of the forks near the stays. I might try to mount the stays inside the fork to see if that gives me any more options.
Maybe I should just get one of those growler cages instead.

Might be me? I resurrected a Vernon Barker tandem. I also built a Vernon Barker MGOOF. It was just by chance that both frames were VB.
I'll need to sell the Vernon Barker Columbus Neuron frame soon as it's slightly too tall for me, after all that. The close-up picture best shows the fluoro paint colours.
