  • Kickr climb, anyone use one?
    Load of bollox? Stupid gimmick?

Rrp is obviously ridiculous, hard to see anyone paying that.
I’ve been offered one brand new really cheap. I’ve turned my nose at it previously tbh, but slightly tempted with the cheap price.

Edit - what I’m really asking is does it actually activate the different muscles used in real climbing? If it really does then I can see the appeal.

  • I've used one in a virtual hillclimb competition and it didn't feel any more like climbing a hill. Just distracting.

I would much rather have a way of moving the bike in the L/R tilt axis, with one of those platforms. Haven't got round to this and it would take up even more room, but have been experimenting with allowing a bit of movement by padding the feet with foam rubber.

I think this makes it a bit more like climbing at high power/low cadence. And at least in my case, stops me going numb for a bit longer.

Thanks, this is my worry that it just becomes something slightly annoying rather than an actual benefit.
I’d ideally try one before committing but think I’ll give it a miss.
