  • @King_Saxlingham aaaaahmagaaad! It was you - I was about to post in the Albion thread, ‘who did I not meet this weekend?’. I heard rumours there was a forummer about, so sorry didn’t get to say hi. …you should have joined the bag-making workshop! Such a top weekend, amazing roads, rides & people.

  • One of the highlights of my weekend was trying to attach an empty chocolate cookie bag to my scrotum with a rubber band in a failed attempt to ease the pain of some shocking chaffing.

  • Video or it didn't happen.

  • onlyfans.com/firsthippy

  • Thanks,
the Bossman has bought the forum a subscription.

  • The rubberband in question, used for something else an hour or two later...

  • Please tell me you didn't reuse the chocolate cookie bag...

  • That had been binned. I'm sure I could've used it for something else.

    Limited by imagination alone.

  • Went out. Ventured into prime road cycling territory. Amongst all the carbon fibre copy grim faced men doing SERIOUS CYCLING in their kit it was nice to see a smiley man in a checkered shirt.

This path was way steeper than it looks

  • That was a brief escape off-road. North of Henley and Marlow it's all lanes.

  • Mixed mtb route from Moffat in the borders to Innerleithen on Saturday, then back to Moffat on Sunday.
    60km/1200m on Saturday
    75km/1500m on Sunday.
Took a spill on a loose rocky track (not even gunning it) and got a tasty bruised leg and cut up hands. Learned that the big bike packing saddle bags that hang over your rear wheel put the weight a bit too high and a bit too far back for optimal handling. Definitely using a frame bag instead where possible in future.
Having lots of gears is nice.
The sun was out a lot more than expected.

  • Nice pics.
That bruise needs to go in the Hidden Faces thread :)

  • Fred Whitton. First time in the Lakes and the scenery is breathtaking. Off to drive the route with family today.

  • 20 miles on the cyclepath after work this evening. Obviously not a big ride, but the furthest I've been on a bike since seriously losing my mojo due to Covid, having a baby & putting on a tonne of weight.

Beautiful weather, great scenery, all the cow parsley + and felt great to be getting (very slowly) back into the swing of it.

Tried to remind myself that a few years ago I could handle (and enjoy) multi day tours of 60+ hilly miles a day, with loaded panniers etc. I'm absolutely miles of that level at the moment, but you've got to start somewhere

  • What route did you take?

  • Day 1

    Day 2

Can’t remember how religiously we stuck to the route.

  • Race Across Belgium. Type 2. Rain...rain...more rain. Cobbles are not cool or fun or clever...they're shite.

  • Cheers. Might need to try riding the bits from St Mary's Loch to Moffat at some point. I've ridden the Innerleithen to St Mary's enough times now.

  • Wonderful weather for a post tour recoup around the local lanes.
