Bit worried.

What happens if someone uses iCloud Drive for photos from 2021-now

They then connect another device that has photos from 2015-2020 and tell it to use iCloud Drive for photos

I assumed it would simply add the older photos to the existing photos on iCloud Drive

Can anyone confirm?

Did you resolve this? I have no help (I use Dropbox for photos) but sounds like the sort of thing I would do so curious about the outcome.

I think it did largely what you might expect - not delete a whole bunch of photos 😅

Was a very slow process though.
