Good to know, thanks. I've been trying to parse it from photographs and I suspected it might not quite match up to the design. I really appreciate what they've tried to do, though. It is at least an original design.

That Heuer is super cool and I think quite rare, most of those were quartz I believe.

Was at an event the other night thrown by the Swedish bank my wife works for. Introduced me to a friend/client and he had one of these.
And was wearing it.

Yeah, the more I look into it, it seems that way.. loving it.. It's the 844/3.. which puts it at about 1983 / 84.. but haven't yet tracked down the exact model anywhere.. plenty very similar, but mostly quartz or else without the 1000 type below the Heuer symbol..

the pelagos looks so good, definitely on the want list

Aesthetically I'm not a fan of the red, and the strap, and so on, but that is one of the best modern Pateks, no question. The movement is very very legit.

Recently saw one in the metal, really, really good. Definitely a wish list item.

It's not really a grand complication, although PP refer to almost all their complicated watches as such. It's "merely" a high-beat monopusher chronograph with a 1/10th second readout.
